Key role for dealmakers in MBO
Leading regional dealmakers Strategic Corporate Finance have played a key role in the management buy-out of a Rotherham company.
Strategic Corporate Finance, one of the largest corporate finance houses in the North of England advised a management buy-out team led by Judith Fox on its successful acquisition of Horner Brothers Print Group Ltd.
Previously owned by brothers Dennis and Trevor Horner, the £14m turnover company, which employs 170 staff, specialises in the manufacture and supply of operational printed matter, which includes personalised corporate stationery such as business cards and compliment slips, as well as general forms, booklets and leaflets.
Its customer base covers a range of sectors and includes blue-chip names from the banking, utilities and insurance industries such as HBOS, Prudential and BT.
Judith Fox will continue in her current role as managing director of Horner’s, which was founded by the brothers in 1982. Other members of the buy-out team include Jon Marsh, sales and commercial director, and Kevin McGowan, operations director.
The deal, for an undisclosed sum, took just over three months to complete from the initial involvement of Strategic Corporate Finance.
