Supercharged deal goes through in just a week!
Sheffield-based corporate finance experts Strategic Corporate Finance have completed a deal involving the Superpound discount stores company at super-speed – just seven days from start to finish!
As lead advisers, the deal makers ensured that the acquisition of Supergifts Co. Ltd., which trades as Superpound and The Big 99p store and has pound line stores throughout the North and Midlands, went through in double quick time.
The company, with a £7.5m turnover, was established in 1979 – preceding other pound line stores which are now common place in the High Street.
It employs 175 staff at stores in Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster, Chesterfield, Birkenhead, Bishop Auckland, Blackpool, Bransholme Hull, Crewe, , Halifax, Huddersfield, Lincoln, Middleton Manchester, Redcar, South Shields, Stockton, Sunderland, Wakefield and Wolverhampton.
Director Andrew Coates of Strategic Corporate Finance, who completed the acquisition for a North West based entrepreneur, said: “We provided a full lead advisory service for our clients who were delighted that we were able to complete within seven working days from the initial meeting with the vendors.”
